Xiaoya Wan is a Chinese pianist acclaimed for her imaginative artistry, profound expressiveness, and brilliant virtuosity. Raised between Beijing and New York, she has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and China, earning recognition for interpretations that combine poetic sensitivity with dramatic intensity. She is currently pursuing studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with Chi-Ho Han, where she also serves as an Associate Instructor of Piano. Wan graduated from The Juilliard School and continued her master’s studies there under the guidance of Julian Martin and Hung-Kuan Chen. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Orchestra da Camera di Imola, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, and the National Youth Orchestra of China. Her distinctions include Second Prize at the 2025 Fou Ts’ong International Concerto Competition and First Prize at the 2025 NSAL Piano Competition. An active chamber musician, she is a member of the 65th Street Ensemble and has also participated in PianoTexas and the Aspen Music Festival.
