Sylvie Pouvreau-Brindel is a French pianist who studied in Tours, France, with Charles Lilamand, and obtained Medaille d’Or of Tours Conservatoire. She pursued her curriculum in Paris at École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot, with Annie d’Arco for Artist diploma degree.
After this, she studied with Pierre Barbizet in Marseille for several years and further honed her skills with Vlado Perlemuter, Paul Badura-Skoda, Bruno Leonardo Gelber and Bruno Rigutto. Sylvie has plenty of experience performing as a soloist and in chamber music as well being the pianist of Jacques Ibert, the vocal ensemble, with whom she performs regularly. Since 1993, she has been a piano and chamber music professor at Jean Ockeghem Conservatoire in Tours.
