Contestant

Seunghyun Lee was born in 1994 in Gimpo South Korea. Later he studied piano in Seoul with Prof, Young-Lan Han and Prof. Peter Ovtcharov at Yonsei University. He attended masterclasses with Pavel Gililov, Pascal Rogé, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Bernd Goetzke, Soo.Jung Shin and Jean Claude Vanden Eynden among others.

He has received prizes at numerous competitions, e.g. 2015 Concours International de Piano d´Epinal (France), 2016 Prague Spring International Competition (Czech Republic), 2018 Neue Sterne International Piano Competition (Germany), 2021 Seoul International Piano Competition (South Korea) and 2022 Euregio Piano Award (Germany).

As a soloist, he has performed with the Konzerthauserorchester Berlin, the Orchester National de Metz, the Euregio Chamber Orchestra, the orchestra of the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater, the Prime Philarmonic Orchestra, the Yonsei Symphony Orchestra, and the Sendai Philarmonic Orchestra among others.

Since 2018 he has been studying with Kirill Gerstein at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin
