Awards
Twenty-four pianists from twelve countries have been selected among more than one hundred applicants to compete in the First International Piano Competition “City of Malaga” to be held from June 7 to 15, 2024.
Awards
The prizes, subject to the legally established withholdings, will be the following:

20.000 euros
The first prize includes 20,000 euros, a diploma, a trophy and the opportunity to perform in several notable concerts:
- In one of the cycles organized by the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra
- At the Festival by Piano “Rafael Orozco” from Córdoba
- In the season of the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella
- In the Season of the Pharos Arts Foundation of Pharos (Cyprus)
- Concert at the Tenerife Auditorium Piano Season

The second prize includes 10,000 euros and an honorary diploma.

6.000 euros
The third prize includes 6,000 euros and an honorary diploma.
Special
prize
1.500 euros
Special prize for the best Spanish pianist classified in the competition. This award can be combined with other awards and recognizes outstanding musical excellence within the national scope.
Special
prize
1.000 euros
Special prize for the best performer of the quintet alongside the Cuarteto Thyssen in the semi-final.
