Contestant

Haolun Sun, a native of Anhui, China, is currently studying with Alexander Korsantia at the New England Conservatory. His formative studies began at the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music under Zhe Tang.

Haolun has already won many awards including the second prize in the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians, first prize in 2023 Jinjiang International Piano Competition for Youth and the first prize in the 8th German Mendelssohn International Piano Competition Asia-Pacific Finals.

He has made appearances in major venues around the world, such at the Great Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Swarthout Recital Hall in the US, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Chengdu City Concert Hall, and Anhui Grand Theatre. He has been the soloist with many major orchestras, including the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, and Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra.
