A native of Hangzhou, the Chinese pianist Tiantuo Li began his piano study at the age of four and shortly made his debut at the age of five. He has performed at the renowned venues such as SSO Concert Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Hangzhou Grand Theatre and He Luting Concert Hall. Tiantuo has frequently performed piano concerti with orchestras. In 2019, he appeared with Santa Monica Symphony and Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestras for two performances of Chopin ’ s second concerto in Los Angeles and Shanghai; as the youngest laureate of the SHCM Concerto Competition he performed Tchaikovsky’s first concerto in December 2020 with Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Xiao’ ou Zhao; four months later he was invited to perform again, with Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra at the Hangzhou Grand Theatre, Tchaikovsky‘s first piano concerto. He has recently performed concertos with Shenzhen Symphony and Wuxi Symphony Orchestras.
Tiantuo Li is currently studying under Moye Chen and pursuing his bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Prior to his attendance of Shanghai Conservatory, he graduated summa cum laude from the Affiliated Middle School of SHCM where he studied with Yunlin Yang. Tiantuo has won the 1st Prize from the WPTA Spain International Piano Competition and the 2nd Prize from the World Piano Teachers Association International Piano Competition, as well as a winner of the Shenzhen Piano Open, the “Tsinghai Cup” Competitions and the Yamaha Scholarship Auditions.
