Wenyuan Pan began learning the piano at the age of 7 and was taught by Professor Wang Yao, the head of the Piano Department at Shandong University of Arts. At the age of 10, he entered the Central Conservatory of Music Affiliated Primary School in the fourth grade with outstanding results, where he has been studying under the guidance of renowned pianist and educator Professor Chen Manchun. He is currently a third-year undergraduate student at the Piano Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, where he has achieved excellent academic performance and was awarded the “Fan Jianqin Memorial Scholarship.”
He has been invited to perform in many cities, including Dalian City Music Hall, Cangzhou Grand Theater, Luoyang Poly Theater, Shandong Provincial Grand Theater, the China-Japan Friendship Association in Beijing, the University of San Diego Music Hall in the United States, and the Mucken Music Hall in New York. He has received guidance from distinguished professors such as Christopher Elton from the Royal Academy of Music in the UK, Bernd Goetzke, The head of the Piano Department at Hannover University of Music in Germany, famous French pianist Michel Beroff, renowned American pianist Kevin Kenner, and prominent Chinese pianist and educator Zhou Guangren, all of whom have highly praised his playing. He has also performed piano concertos with orchestras including the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, the Taiwan International Joint Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Xiamen Song and Dance Theater Symphony Orchestra.
His awards include: 2017, Third Prize in the Central Conservatory of Music Affiliated Secondary School’s internal scholarship competition.
2017, Fifth Prize in the German Omiiler International Piano Competition.
2018, Finalist Award at the Hanoi International Piano Competition in Vietnam.
2023, Second Prize in the Professional Youth Group at the 9th Boya Piano Art Festival National Finals.
2024, Selected for the 26th Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition in Portugal.
2024, Selected for the 65th Busoni International Piano Competition’s Global Piano Project.
2025, Selected for the Leipzig Bach International Piano Competition in Germany
