Lior Lifshitz was born in Tel Aviv in 2004 and started his performance career already at the age of 10, with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Since then, he has performed with most major orchestras in Israel, such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Israeli Sinfonietta, etc.
In the last 5 years Lior is regularly coached by Maestro Murray Perahia at the Jerusalem Music Center’s outstanding young pianists program. Lior is first prize winner at the 2020 Israeli Radio/Jerusalem Symphony Young Artist Competition, first prize winner in the 2015, 2018 and 2021 National competition “Piano Forever”, and recipient of the prestigious “Clairmont” award, given by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and Tel Aviv University to a single outstanding Israeli musician.
He has performed on the most important concert halls in Israel, such as the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, the Tel Aviv Opera House, Henry Crown Symphony Hall at the Jerusalem Theater and many others.
Outside of Israel Lior has performed in benefit concerts for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Latin America, as well as in Germany, Sweden and France. Lior started his studies with Dr. Dror Semmel at the Israel Conservatory of Music and is now studying at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in the class of Prof. Tomer Lev and Prof. Arie Vardi.
