In addition, they have recorded for TVE, RNE “Radio Clásica”, Catalunya Radio, BR (Radio Bavaria), SWR (Süden-Westen Radio), Rádio Klasika (Slovakia) and for the record label SONY Spain. After the success of their CD “Impulse”, a record project published by IBS Classical, they have recently released a new recording with the same label with works by W. A. Mozart and F. Poulenc together with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León under the baton of Pablo González. The duo plans to release a new CD in 2026 with works by B. Bartók, M. Ravel and J. Corigliano.
Involved in bringing classical music to the general public, the Dúo del Valle has created together with the singer Pasión Vega the show “2 Pianos con Pasión”, a musical-theatrical miscegenation that has been presented with great success throughout the Spanish geography and that has already been enjoyed by more than 40,000 spectators.
Music critics have described them as “prodigies”: “Sound beauty, virtuosity… in his prodigious and renewing pianism.” (El País). “… the brothers Luis and Víctor del Valle who, with Ravel’s Valse, overcame the sound barrier by achieving magical timbres.” (Alert, Santander). “…. the interpretation of Víctor and Luis del Valle was masterful. Splendid virtuosity, an unprecedented willingness to take risks and the highest security of style come together in these two musicians…. breath-taking sounds…. very rarely do you hear works by Mozart in such a convincing way.” (Stuttgarter Zeitung). “…. made two simple grand pianos sound like the Vienna Philharmonic.” (Panama America- Epasa). “… These magnificent ones respect styles and techniques, but they make their own voice very clear, which is young and daring, lively and full of humor, expressive and musical to the fullest.” (The province. Diario de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).
The duo of the del Valle brothers was trained at the Reina Sofía School of Music under the direction of Dimitri Bashkirov and Claudio Martínez Mehner. Later they continued their training as chamber musicians with Márta Gulyás, Eldar Nebolsin and Ralf Gothóni, always with the support of the Malaga Foundation. They have also received advice from the masters Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Katia and Marielle Labèque, Ferenc Rados, Menahem Pressler, Zoltán Kocsis, Daniel Barenboim and Martha Argerich among other great artists.
Currently, Víctor and Luis del Valle combine their concert activity with their teaching work at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga and the Conservatorio Profesional Teresa Berganza in Madrid. They are frequently invited to give piano and chamber music master classes both in Spain and abroad.
The Junta de Andalucía has awarded them the distinction “Young Malaga Award” for the promotion of Malaga abroad, and the City Council of Vélez-Málaga has awarded them the “Gold Medal” of the city for bringing the name of Vélez-Málaga to the most emblematic national and international stages.
