Robert Bily is a German pianist of Czech origin, born in Ústí nad Labem. Recognized for his originality, expressive musicality, and refined technique by renowned musicians such as Daejin Kim, Arie Vardi, and Matei Varga, he began studying piano at the age of six. He trained in Germany with Margarita Gebhardt, Dirk Fischbeck, Gerald Fauth, and Jacques Ammon, before continuing his studies with Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and later with Markus Groh in Berlin. He has attended masterclasses with Emanuel Ax, Barry Douglas, Robert Levin, and Claudio Martínez Mehner, among others. Winner of major international competitions including the Vendôme Prize, Ettlingen International Piano Competition, and Hummel Competition, he performs regularly at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival and Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival across Europe, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. He also won Second Prize at Eurovision Young Musicians in Cologne in 2016.
