Kuan-Wei Chen was selected as a finalist of the 65th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2025. In the same year, he received 5th Prize and the Special Prize at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, and won 1st Prize and the Paderewski Prize at the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition in Vienna.
He is also a prizewinner of the Giovanni Colafemmina International Piano Competition, the Radovljica International Piano Competition, and the Les Étoiles du Piano International Piano Competition. He is a laureate of the Fondation Clavarte, a recipient of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, and a selected artist of the Althafen Foundation Talent Studio Cohort. In the 2026/27 season, he will join the Académie Jaroussky at La Seine Musicale in Paris.
He studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with Prof. Konrad Maria Engel and is currently continuing his postgraduate studies under Prof. Anna Malikova in Vienna.
